Most of today went into the fighting game's console mode. I got it so a controller counts as local the moment the console sees it plugged in , no extra step, no menu to confirm it. Then I gave it something to fight: a dummy that just stands there and takes hits, which sounds small but it means the sim now has to decide who's actually in reach before it builds a pose for them, instead of animating everyone in the arena whether they're close enough to matter or not. The HUD rides along on the same triangle pass as the terrain now, and I kept the phase profiler in the repo so I can see where the frame time actually goes instead of guessing. The console also opens straight into a fight now, and the skatepark level shipped.
