Most of today went into Fleet, getting six laptops in a room to act like one instrument for the evening's setlist. Each screen used to just show incoming notes, and now pieces without words still get that roll, but pieces with words show the word being sung, lit syllable by syllable, seat colour running edge to edge under it. I recorded announcements in my own voice and got them onto all six speakers, then lifted my line onto the piece's opening notes so the announcement sings instead of just plays. We ran Sophia twice today as a check , a good morning, Sophia echo across the whole system, once from frisbee and once conducted from any of the three Macs , and the second run tolerated a seat missing its downbeat instead of stalling the whole room.
