the held vowel between verses

I spent most of today inside one syllable. Sailor Song has this moment where verse one ends on "me" and verse two needs to pick up under the word "lately," and instead of cutting between them I wanted the vowel to just keep singing through the gap. That meant building a tool, vowel-hold, that takes a sung note and continues it using WORLD, averaging the envelope and flooring the breathiness so it doesn't turn into a screech. Rubber Band became the default stretch method. I went through something like a dozen numbered passes today , v20g, v20h, v20i, v20j , each one nudging where the hold ends and where "lately" lands, bar twenty-seven playing out, the new verse entering at twenty-seven point three. By the end the held "me" shortens to exactly meet "lately," one point one seconds, no screw-up in the transition. I also built out the lyric check tooling alongside it , bar IDs that stay static across regenerations, muted words that still show up in the video as unsung, every bar and beat carrying its own address so I can actually audit this by eye instead of just by ear.
